What is HTMA?
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a functional lab test that offers powerful insight into how your body is functioning at the cellular level—specifically, how it manages stress, regulates hormones, produces energy, and detoxifies. Unlike traditional bloodwork, HTMA provides a long-range picture of your body’s mineral balance over the past 2–3 months, helping to uncover the why behind your symptoms.
If you’ve ever been told your labs look “normal,” but you still don’t feel well, HTMA may offer the missing piece.
Why Minerals Matter
Minerals are often called the "spark plugs" of the body because they ignite thousands of enzyme reactions necessary for health. Without adequate mineral levels, your body can’t:
Produce energy efficiently
Maintain stable hormone levels
Move nutrients in and out of cells
Regulate the nervous system or stress response
Digest food and detoxify properly
Because the body cannot make minerals on its own, they must be replenished through food and supplementation. HTMA helps us understand exactly which minerals you're lacking—and which ones are in excess—so we can bring your body back into balance.
What HTMA Can Reveal
HTMA is a non-invasive, at-home test that uses a small sample of hair to measure both mineral status and heavy metal excretion. This gives us insight into:
Your metabolic type & rate
Adrenal and thyroid function
Stress stage (compensation vs. burnout)
Mineral ratios that impact hormone regulation
Heavy metal excretion (e.g., aluminum, mercury, arsenic)
Tendencies toward 30+ conditions—often before symptoms fully develop
It also provides context around why you may feel tired, wired, inflamed, or hormonally off—even if your labs say everything is “fine.”
Who is HTMA for?
HTMA is especially helpful if you’re experiencing:
Low energy, poor sleep, or feeling “tired but wired”
Anxiety, mood swings, or burnout that doesn't respond to lifestyle changes
Gut issues with no clear diagnosis
Irregular cycles, PCOS, endometriosis, or unexplained infertility
Weight loss resistance or unintentional weight fluctuations
Chronic symptoms that persist despite “normal” bloodwork
Whether you're navigating hormonal chaos, metabolic dysfunction, or mystery symptoms, HTMA offers clarity when other labs fall short.
